A-Trak Fool’s Gold Records House Party – October 21st, 2012 – Asbury Park, NJ

Jack Deezl and A-Trak chillin’ during the Fool’s Gold Records house party at Asbury Lanes.

A-Trak performed between bowling lanes, in front of a packed house at Asbury Lanes.

I arrived early and took some shots of the venue before the show. After being inside the place for a few minutes, one could not help but notice the place hadn’t been updated in decades, with the exception of local art pieces displayed throughout the perimeter of the venue and lanes. The crowd varied, but catered more to the hipster / punk scene on a regular basis.

This shot was taken outside in front of Asbury Lanes, and is an accurate representation of Asbury Park in general. A rough and rugged beach town, with a vintage vibe that survives year after year.

Ancient bowling balls and their battle scars; lined up and ready go.

Donnis; host for the evening.

Fool’s Gold Records Alum, Flosstradamus, perform their blend of trap infused hardstyle bangers. Several of these tunes are off their new “XO” EP, such as “Underground Anthem”, “Drak Knight”, among others. The “Trapstyle” sound is refreshing as well as addicting in many senses, especially when those deep, wonky bass lines.are layered with aggressive house synths.

Not gonna lie, I was impressed with the girls that came out for the evening.

Amping the crowd up during their set.

Several friends from the Philadelphia and surrounding areas also came up for the show. We all caught up and took a few shots at the bar.

Ever get hungry at a show, but are too close to the stage to leave? We got you covered…

Fans going wild as A-Trak took to the stage.

Packed house during A-Trak’s set at Asbury Lanes.

You could arguably wear a banana suit to every concert.

Showin’ off his skills, scratchin’ records at the Fool’s Gold House Party.

Crowd Surfing in a bowling alley, not an uncommon thing at this venue.

I’m always very impressed with A-Trak’s live performance as he flawlessly mixes in and out of his own tunes creating an original, hip hop heavy, electronic set. Tonight was no different as he showed off his mixing skills and played fan favorites.

As with most house parties, you don’t leave until all the beer’s gone. The night was a wild success and seemed to end quicker than it began. The crowd was exceptional, the atmosphere was perfect, and venue was honestly the closest thing you could get in a legit venue, that portrayed an intimate house party vibe.
